About the Authors

Quantum Atomica began as a an extracurricular school project. The initial developers were Dr Michael Daniel, Rahul Vohra and Gareth Williams. Dr Daniel is the head of physics at King Edward's School, Birmingham, UK. Rahul and I are now both computer science undergraduates at Cambridge University.

The program has undergone continuing development. Most recently in summer 2004, I added volumetric anaglyph support, which for some reason I could not figure out how to implement until recently.

For historical fun, I've uploaded the very first version of the program so you can see how much has changed. This was written on the evening of the day this whole project was started when Dr Daniel gave us the equation for the 1S orbital. You can download the very first version here. But be warned: it is completely unintuitive to use. You must first click anywhere on the background, and then click on the button.
